Dusting off your chair on a daily basis is a must. Keep the upholstery clean by using a clean dust cloth and make sure that you dust it off thoroughly.
Another thing that you can't ignore is the height of the chair. A chair that is too low can cause trouble to your lower back as you would stretch your back to reach the table. On the contrary if your chair is too high you will bend to do your work. Both of these positions are bound to trigger trouble as it would irritate the sciatic nerve and result in pain. So, a chair that's a bit lesser than the height of your table is best. Rather, opt for a chair that you could adjust according to your needs.
When you get the chair home, take the time to read the instruction manual that comes with it, and if the chair is not to your liking , or if you find some kind of faults, return it immediately for exchange or money back. The longer you keep the chair, the less likely you will be able to return it.
A bar counter in the middle of the kitchen requires some space around it for comfortable seating and allow the kitchen to function properly. Don't fall prey for tricky salespeople who may try to sell you a counter with cabinets bigger than your kitchen can accommodate! The access corridor around the bar area should not be less than 3 ft wide.
